Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation #2 fair review

My Darlings!

(as adorable Charlotte Tilbuty always says)

Today review on amazing light foundation. I’m in love with CT …. I love the way she works! I love her products and everything that comes with it!

So let’s see what is she says on her werbsite about this foudation… (£32)

I’ve created the holy grail of foundations… An air-light formula with wonder powers: it illuminates, smoothes, hydrates, minimises pores and reduces wrinkles for perfect skin. When it comes to foundation, I have one simple rule: perfect coverage in a light-weight formula. Eyes can be intense, lips can be full on, but your complexion should be seamless, breathable and beautiful. It’s one of my 7 wonders for your skin!        TRUE! but I don’t think it’s holy grail..
• This innovative technology breathes a diaphanous veil of youth-enhancing tint across your complexion, evening out imperfections and moisturising the skin. It’s like a halo effect of luminosity and colour. TRUE!

• A pool of youth-boosting actives helps reduce wrinkles, fight uneven skin tone and smooth over the surface for a “baby-skin effect”. TRUE!

• A botanical alternative to retinol stimulates epidermal renewal by kick-starting collagen production, delaying the onset of wrinkles and creating a perfect make-up base. PERHAPS…

• SPF 15 protects skin from UV damage. YES!

• Pseudo-ceramides hydrate your skin for up to 18 hours. POSSIBLE

• For dry, normal, combination skin type YES/NO

• Fill 40ml YES

• Carton Dimensions (mm) 41 x 22 x 110 YES

• Lightweight plastic bottle YES

My feelings (I’ve got combo skin and now only few blemishes):

  • it’s great light, gives you amazing kind of air-brushed finish but with gorgeous natural finish
  • if you’ve got normal or dry skin you can skip the powder or use it only on T-zone
  • I’ve got combination skin so I need to use powder at least in the T-zone and a bit on cheeks
  • when you pat foundation with fingers in certain places you can skip concealer
  • taking so light texture into consideration… it gives wonderful coverage…
  • it has 8 shades (2,3,4-fair; 5,7,8-medium; 9&10-dark)
  • bit pricey
  • little oxidizing; I’ve got the lightest shade and I’m not super pale…see pix…

If you want to achieve natural finish the best way to apply foundation are fingers. If you want better coverage use Real Techniques expert brush etc. When using foundation flat brush foundation goes into the pores…not a nice view.
